In one hour, Sjoerd Ewals, director of the youth meeting place, tells interesting facts about the multifaceted history of the only German military cemetery in the Netherlands. He presents examples of biographies of war dead buried in Ysselsteyn and also reports on how the culture of remembrance has changed over the decades.”
A special highlight is the visitor centre with its interactive exhibition, which has been open since 2022.
For another special impression of the Ysselsteyn war cemetery, Volksbund employee Frank Wagner had a drone flown over the cemetery.
